The first phase of the Carol
Edwards Center and Field Project is complete. The Carol Edwards Center now has a newly remodeled Gym, Banquet/Multi-purpose room, meeting rooms, bathrooms, lobby, and an 8 station computer lab.
November 5, 2009. On November 2, the City began its construction work on the Sports Field project. The first part of construction will include excavation of the current turf to prep the area for the under field drainage system and base layers which need to be in place. Excavation work began on November 2, and once this work is complete, the next step will be laying the sand and crushed rock base layers. This will be completed in phases to ensure proper compaction of the base layers. If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Clinton Moyer, Assistant Public Works Director, at 425.489.2700 ext. 2294.
Sports Field Update: On August 4th , the City Council awarded a contract to Bargmann Construction and Consulting, to complete the construction of the Woodinville Sports Field Project. Construction work is expected to begin on the sports field in late 2009 and be completed in spring of 2010. The construction work includes renovating the new fields with synthetic turf and lighting to provide year round play and meet community recreation needs. This project also features a new entry to the City, and walking trail that will surround the sport fields.
