The Woodinville-Duvall Road Widening Project involves
the widening of NE Woodinville-Duvall Road from 156th
Avenue NE to the east City limits at 171st Place NE.
The existing two-lane roadway will be widened to three-lanes
to provide an additional center turn lane and improved
sidewalks and bike lanes. Other improvements will include
drainage improvements, traffic signal improvements, street
lighting, and landscape improvements. The overall length
of the project is approximately 1.1 miles. The primary
purpose of the project is to improve safety and to relieve
traffic congestion.

more details about the design schedule, please see
the attached
preliminary schedule.
Project Update
Design of the Woodinville-Duvall Road Widening project
began in June of 2009. The first community meeting
was held in September 2009. The final selection
by the City Council of the preferred roadway section
(shown below) occurred in April 2010. The project
is now at a 60% design level and design is expected
to be completed in spring 2011. Utility relocations
are scheduled to begin in summer 2011, but may
start later. The actual construction of the project
