Woodinville City Council Members Sworn In and Mayor and Deputy Mayor Selected

At the first City Council meeting of 2012, three Council members were sworn in to office, and the Council selected its Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

Returning Councilmembers Scott Hageman and Liz Aspen were sworn in along with new Councilmember Les Rubstello at the January 10th meeting. Hageman has served on the City Council since 1993, and Aspen has served on the Council since 2008; both were reelected to their positions in the November 2011 election. Rubstello is a former Planning Commission member and was elected to the City Council for the first time in November 2011.

The Council also selected Bernie Talmas as its Mayor and Liz Aspen as Deputy Mayor. The Council selects a Mayor and Deputy Mayor every two years; the Mayor presides over Council meetings and formally represents the City from a public relations standpoint. The Deputy Mayor serves in the absence of the Mayor.

Council meetings are held during the first, second, and third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 17301 133rd Ave NE.
