Guide page for the latest
updates.
Registration & Fees
Pre-registration is available in-person,
via mail, fax or online.
Carol Edwards Center office hours and driving
direction are available on the General
Information page. Registration
is required for all classes and all fees
are
due at the time of registration, unless
otherwise noted in the class description.
Registration dates are listed on the latest
Registration
Form or are available on the Recreation
Guide page under "Updates".
Resident Priority Registration and Resident
Fees
City residents receive priority registration
and, as taxpayers, are charged a lower
registration fee than non-residents. Homes
within the City of Woodinville (those that
pay Woodinville property taxes) and those
with a Woodinville mailing address may
differ. For the ease of determining residency
during registration,
the zip
code 98072,
which
encompasses all City of Woodinville taxpayers
as well as a few other homes, is used.
All other zip codes pay the non-resident
rate.
You may also visit the King
County Parcel Viewer for information
on who you pay your property taxes to. Enter your address to see detailed information
on your property. If your address is not in King County, you may visit the Snohomish County Parcel Viewer for information about your property. The City of Woodinville resides wholly in King County.
Refunds
100% Refund: If the class is cancelled by the Parks & Recreation Department, registered participants receive a 100% refund within 10 days of cancellation.
100% Refund, less $10 processing fee:
If a registered participant withdraws within
five (5) business days prior to the first
class/session, the refund will be issued
within 10 days of the day of cancellation.
No Refund: For programs costing less than
$10 (unless cancelled by Parks & Recreation),
there is no refund. The cost to taxpayers
to issue the refund is more than the amount
of the refund. Instead, the fee is placed
in the Financial Assistance Fund. No refunds
are issued for participants removed from
class for disciplinary reasons.
Special Requests: Medical injuries or other extenuating circumstances are given a case-by-case consideration by the Recreation Supervisor. Documentation may
be required to substantiate the special request.
Scholarships/Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available to low income youth and people with disabilities. To apply, download and submit the Recreation Scholarship Application form. If you or your company would like to make a scholarship donation, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department.
Class/Program Cancellations Due to Weather
During severe weather events, the
City closely monitors school closures issued
by the Northshore School District (Transportation
Line: 425.408.6001 or www.nsd.org).
If the NSD implements a late start, call
the CEC main number for class status, 425.398.9327.
If the NSD closes all schools, all morning
classes at the CEC are cancelled. For afternoon classes, the City makes a determination
by 11 a.m. based on road conditions and
current/predicted weather conditions.
For evening classes,
a determination is made by 3 p.m. Class
openings and closures are recorded on the
CEC main number, 425.398.9327. Make-up
classes are rescheduled if possible. For
classes held outside, call 1 hour prior
to program for rain-related cancellations.

Specialized
Recreation: Special Olympics
The City participates in Special Olympics
of Washington (SOWA) competitions. To
participate in SOWA programs, please complete
the required SOWA
Athlete Application for Participation Form which
includes a medical release and requires
a physician's

The form is required by SOWA and is valid
for three (3) years.

Salmon Educational Kits
Salmon Education Kit was developed
for educators as part of continued efforts
to protect and restore wild salmon runs
in our streams and rivers. The goal of
this program is to encourage a better understanding
of salmon biology and habitat needs, and
the relationships between water quality,
watershed health, and salmon survival. See
Salmon
Kit Request Form for complete details.
