Public Works
The Public Works Department is the largest department in the City. Public Works proudly provides a variety of innovative services, essential operations, and excellent customer service. Department responsibilities include:
- Construction and facilities management
- Parks operations
- Road and street operations
- Stormwater management
- Various special event demands
Our team is comprised of the director, assistant director, a team of professional engineers, technicians, senior administrative assistant, maintenance supervisor, facilities maintenance technician and a full-service public works crew who are the boots on the ground for the city.
Public Works Engineering
The Public Works Engineering division oversees planning, design, bidding, construction and facilities management, parks operations, stormwater management, and road and street operations.
Public Works Operations & Maintenance
The Public Works Operations and Maintenance division is responsible for the operations, maintenance and repair of the road system, including signs and signals, roadside mowing and vegetation maintenance, street sweeping, ditch, culvert and stormwater upkeep, parks maintenance, 24/7 emergency response, and various special event demands.
