Battery Recycling

Free household battery recycling is available at City Hall during business hours.

Batteries Accepted

Used batteries can be recycled at the designated area located in the first-floor lobby of Woodinville City Hall. Look for blue cylinder tubes with removable lids.  Please do not leave boxes or bags of batteries on the floor near the tubes.

  • Alkaline
  • Nickel
  • Cadmium
  • Cell phone
  • Button batteries

All battery types listed above contain mercury and other hazardous materials and should not go to the landfill.

Batteries Not Accepted

Batteries we cannot accept include:

  • Vehicle
  • Marine
  • UPS (uninterruptible power supply)

Eco Tip

Rechargeable batteries can be used multiple times and disposable batteries can only be used once. Try using rechargeable batteries to reduce waste and save money.
