Mechanical & Plumbing Permits

All mechanical work associated with a building permit (including tenant improvements) is permitted as a component of the building permit (referred to as Combined Building Permit). Separate mechanical and plumbing permits are not required when a Combined Building Permit is applied for.  If you are a subcontractor, please contact the general contractor or project manager to verify the proper plans were reviewed and approved for your portion of the work.  Mechanical and plumbing inspections may be requested through the Permit Portal.

Over the Counter Permit - Plan review is not required

When a plan review is not required, you can apply online through the permit portal (link) to have a permit issued immediately. Over the Counter issuance of mechanical and plumbing permits are available for replacement of single family fixture installations including water heaters and appliances.
