Stormwater Permit (NPDES)

The City of Woodinville is required to have a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. The NPDES program was created under the federal Clean Water Act to regulate point sources that discharge pollutants to waters of the United States. These permits are issued and enforced by the Department of Ecology in Washington.

Stormwater Management Program Plan Feedback

In order to satisfy requirements of the stormwater permit, the City prepares and submits an Annual Report to the Department of Ecology, which summarizes the City’s efforts to comply with permit requirements.

The City also develops an annual Stormwater Management Program Plan that outlines planned stormwater management activities for the upcoming year. The City encourages public comment and participation in the development and implementation of the Stormwater Management Program Plan. Feedback is welcome and will be used to to shape the program and develop next year’s plan. We want to hear from you!
