Grid Road - 133rd Ave NE

This project extends the existing 133rd Ave NE Grid Road across NE 175th Street to Little Bear Creek Parkway (NE 177th Place) including the addition of new intersections at Little Bear Creek and Woodinville Snohomish Road. This extension will help alleviate congestion in the downtown area by increasing overall roadway capacity as well as creating a new pathway for accessing the Downtown area when exiting 522.

The first segment of this project, from NE 175th Street to Woodinville Snohomish Road, will be constructed by the Mainstreet Property Group as part of their adjacent development project (Eastrail Flats). Part of Mainstreet's responsibility for construction of this roadway will be adding improvements to the existing intersection at NE 175th Street and construction of a new intersection at Woodinville Snohomish Road.

The second segment of the project will be constructed by the City between Woodinville Snohomish Road and Little Bear Creek Parkway including a new intersection.

Construction of the segment between NE 175th Street and Woodinville Snohomish Road will start in 2023, followed by the northern section in 2024.  The estimated cost of both segments of the project is approximately $8 million, over $5,000,000 of which is being funded through the development project.
