Eastrail Regional Trail Project - Woodinville Connection

Project Summary

Built on a historic railroad line, Eastrail runs 42 miles along the east side of Lake Washington – from Renton to Snohomish WA. Woodinville's Eastrail segment will be an approximately two-mile-long multi-use trail that will extend from NE 175th Street and Woodinville-Redmond Road to the northern City limits.

The existing railroad track and ties removal will begin late Summer/early Fall of 2023. Design is anticipated to start in 2024, with construction expected to start in 2027.

  • SR 202 widening and trestle replacement 
  • Construction of 133rd Ave NE grid road
  • Improves access to transit options and to greenspace, decreasing carbon emissions
