Current Outlook
This project was completed in Winter 2021.
Project Description
The City of Woodinville is dedicated to improving safety on city roads, sidewalks, and crosswalks. To this end, the City is moving forward with a project to address pedestrian safety at four crosswalks in Downtown District.
Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) will be installed which allow pedestrians to activate flashing lights to alert vehicles that the crosswalk is in use. Regardless of the time of day, vehicles will be able to clearly identify when the crosswalk is in use allowing for the safe passage of pedestrians.
The locations are:
- Garden Way between Mill Place and Northeast 175th Street (two intersections)
- Mill Place between Woodinville-Snohomish Road Northeast and Garden Way
- 140th Avenue Northeast between Mill Place and Northeast 181st Street
