The City of Woodinville is accepting applications for its Tourism Promotion Grant Program now through 12:00 PM on August 16, 2022. The goal of the program is to attract and welcome visitors to Woodinville throughout the year, stimulating the local economy and increasing the number of overnight hotel stays. The current estimate of available funding is $150,000, however that number is subject to change.
Tourism grant funding may be used to support an event, program, or activity designed to increase tourism by promoting the city as a tourism destination. Organizations eligible to receive grant funding include municipalities, business associations, destination marketing organizations, as well as cultural, historical, educational, recreational, and community non-profits. Woodinville tourism promotion grants are paid by a portion of the one percent sales tax on hotel rooms located in Woodinville.
The Woodinville Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will evaluate qualifying applications on a competitive basis and provide a recommendation to City Council for approval. Tourism Promotion Grants are expected to be awarded in December 2022 for use in 2023.
Detailed requirements, evaluation criteria, and application information can be found on the City's Grant Opportunities page.
