The City of Woodinville Maintenance Operations Division begins preparing early for the snow season by getting snow equipment ready, stockpiling supplies, and training staff for emergency response. The Snow and Ice Removal Map shows which city streets will be plowed first. Our priority is always maximizing safety and access for the greatest number of people.
With over 50 miles of roads, it takes time for snow plows to make it out to all areas. Lifeline routes and major thoroughfares are cleared first and continuously during an active snow event. Once those have been cleared and snow has stopped falling, other arterial streets and routes connecting schools are plowed. Lastly, neighborhood roads are prioritized for plowing according to the difficulty of the terrain and the number of households relying on the road. For more information about our snow and ice removal operations, see our Snow Plow FAQ on our Winter Weather page.
If you are experiencing a life safety emergency, please call 911 and police will coordinate snow removal on an as-needed basis.
For non-emergency issues on City roads, parks, or other public property, please let us know using our online service request portal.
