New Ways to Engage With Your City

New Year, New Ways to Engage With Your City
Posted on 01/02/2020

Hooray for a brand new year, and a whole new decade!

Our 2020 new year's resolution is to engage the Woodinville community frequently and thoughtfully. Simply put, we want to hear from residents, business owners, workers, and visitors about all the things that matter to you.

Here's a quick rundown of all the ways you can learn about what we're working on-- including park planning, road projects, permitting new development, and more-- and provide feedback to guide us in the right direction.

  • Check out the City of Woodinville website, subscribe to our monthly newsletter, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@WoodinvilleCity).
  • Look out for news, announcements, and official notices in The Seattle Times, as well as the Woodinville Weekly.
  • Attend a neighborhood open house or project information session at City Hall. These are held sporadically throughout the year and always listed on our city calendar.
  • Chat with City staff, police, and elected officials at community events like Celebrate Woodinville summer concerts & festival. We typically have one or more outreach booths set up at these events.
  • Serve as an elected or appointed City official! This is one of the best ways to get involved and help guide policy making at the local level. We currently have openings on City Council and our Public Spaces Commission. Applications are being accepted now.
  • Got a quick question or suggestion? Get in touch with staff or email your City Council at citycouncil@ci.woodinville.wa.us.
  • Want to tell us about a traffic concern or ask us to fix a pothole? Fill out the Service Request Form on our website.

As you think ahead to all that the new year will bring, we hope you'll find a little time to keep up with community news and help make Woodinville a great place to live, work, and play.
