Capital Improvements Plan 2020 Update

The City of Woodinville is working to identify and prioritize infrastructure investments as part of the City’s 6-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The CIP is a multi-year planning document that helps guide local communities in coordinating the financing and timing of improvements. 

Every two years the City considers a range of capital projects to fund as part of its biennial budget. Many of those projects are things we know need to get done, for reasons related to safety or aging infrastructure that must be replaced. The City also considers project requests submitted by community members, to ensure there aren't overlooked areas that may require attention and investment. Project ideas may be submitted using our online request form.

Projects deemed feasible and appropriate will be included as part of the 2020 CIP update. These projects typically cost $50,000 or more and have a lifespan of at least five years. Projects from the CIP receive funding during the budget process, and work on funded projects may begin as early as mid-2021. 

In addition to submitting projects during the open submission period of February 10 through March 6, 2020, the community is also invited to engage in the planning process by providing public comment during City Public Spaces Commission, Planning Commission, and City Council meetings.
