Crosswalk Safety Improvements
Posted on 02/10/2020

CURRENT OUTLOOK

This project is scheduled to begin construction Fall 2020.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City of Woodinville is dedicated to improving safety on city roads, sidewalks, and crosswalks.  To this end, the City is moving forward with a project to address pedestrian safety at 4 crosswalks in Downtown District.

Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) will be installed which allow pedestrians to activate flashing lights to alert vehicles that the crosswalk is in use. Regardless of the time of day, vehicles will be able to clearly identify when the crosswalk is in use allowing for the safe passage of pedestrians.

The locations are:

- Garden Way between Mill Place and NE 175th Street (two intersections)
- Mill Place between Woodinville-Snohomish Road NE and Garden Way
- 140th Avenue NE between Mill Place and and NE 181st Street
